Today’s Very Sad😭News !!’Sister Wives’ star Meri Brown shares shocking details about her relationship with Christine Brown: “We no longer face each other.”
Following her split from husband and Sister Wives co-star Kody Brown, Meri Brown has maintained different relationships with her former sister wives, though she recently revealed to Us Weekly that her friendship with Christine Brown is “nonexistent.”
As fans know, Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021 and a year later, Janelle Brown revealed that she and Kody had separated. Meri and Kody officially ended their union in January 2023, leaving Robyn Brown as Kody’s only remaining wife.
Now, nearly three years after Christine confirmed that her and Kody’s marriage was over, Meri said she wishes her former sister wife “all the best,” but admits the two are not close, despite the fact that they spent decades raising children together while married to the same man.
“We have had a lot of life together,” Meri told the outlet of her and Christine’s friendship. “We’ve had a lot of fun in our past, but our paths just don’t align right now.
“They may crisscross here and there throughout our lives [but] we’re not living parallel lives anymore,” she added.
Fans of ‘Sister Wives’ have seen examples of Meri and Christine’s “nonexistent” friendship in recent years, notably in October 2023 when Christine married husband David Woolley at a wedding ceremony that Meri was not invited to attend. While Kody and Robyn were also left off the guest list, Christine and David invited Meri and Kody’s child, Leon Brown, to the ceremony, as well as Janelle and her and Kody’s six children.
Despite seemingly being snubbed by her former sister wife, Meri claims it “was totally fine” that Christine opted not to include her in her and David’s big day.
“I think that weddings, you need to just have the people around you that you are most comfortable with and I wasn’t that for her and I’m totally fine with that,” she said. “I think that both of us have probably really just embraced the fact that this is where we are in our lives and we wish each other the best. I know that she does the same for me.”
While Meri was recently called out by viewers for allegedly throwing Janelle “under the bus” during an episode of ‘Sister Wives,’ Meri revealed that she and Janelle talk “on occasion,” and that their interactions are “cordial” and “decent.”
“I’m happy with how that is,” Meri said.
As for Robyn, the sister wife whom Meri was arguably the closest to over the years, Meri said the two “don’t talk very often,” noting that their friendship had already suffered prior to her and Kody’s split.
“I’m in a place of moving forward in my life and doing things that progress my life, and that’s just part of my past,” Meri explained. “ … We did have quite a few years through COVID-19 and stuff that we didn’t have a lot of interaction, and so it’s not really much different than that.”
Meri also revealed that she’s “cordial” with Kody, despite the former couple’s marriage being on the rocks for years leading up to their split.
“We don’t see each other,” Meri said. “We’re kind to each other, but we’re not seeking each other out to have a phone call or a text conversation.
“He says often, ‘We’ll be friends, we’ll be friends,’ and it’s like, ‘OK, we’ll be friendly,’ I think, but it’s not like we’re best friends status or anything like that,” she continued. “I’m good with it.”
