William Lipton Returns to General Hospital as Cameron Webber
Tomorrow on the Wednesday, December 18th episode of General Hospital will mark a return for fan favorite, William Lipton as Cameron Webber.
From the sounds of it, Cameron will be back visiting family and friends through the holidays. Might he be of comfort to his ex and dear friend, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), who just lost Dex (Evan Hofer)?
The last time viewers saw Lipton on the ABC soap opera was early this year when Cameron returned for the funeral of his friend, Spencer Cassadine (played by Nicholas Alexander Chavez), who is presumed dead.
Speaking with TV Insider on what fans can expect this holiday season with his soap alter-ego, William shared, “At the center of all Cameron storylines, past, present and future, it’s always his extreme loyalty and love for his family.
He will be exploring the town a little bit, maybe run into a few people that he has known throughout his time in Port Charles, but at the end of the day, it’s just him celebrating the love that he has for his family and the love that he feels from his family.
So, I think the people who are tuning in will be really happy to see Cameron being as happy as he is at this current stage of his life.”
Lipton has currently taken a short leave of absence from his college studies to work on his music. He also just finished filming The Runarounds, a new series for Prime Video from the creators of Outer Banks.
William says the project has been a dream come true: “Since I was a very, very young kid growing up doing acting and music, my biggest dream role was something that involved heavy music and heavy acting.
I already got to experience some on General Hospital, but this show is all about the making of a band and it’s been the best.”
GH fans first met William when he debuted on the soap opera back in 2018, as the SORAS’d version of Cameron, the son of Elizabeth Webber and Zander Smith.
It will be interesting to see the family dynamic in upcoming episodes now that Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is back in town, and Aiden Spencer has aged-up with actor, Colin Cassidy.
