Tragic Update! Kody Brown makes shocking statement – Meri is not allowed to receive equal share of the assets.
During the new episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown explained his own version of events when it came to dividing Coyote Pass.
While Meri and Janelle claim he’s being sneaky and underhanded, he believes they’re needlessly nagging him.
But one of the most shocking statements of all came from Meri’s recollections. Fans already know Kody doesn’t think highly of his ex-wife. But according to Meri, he told her she deserved less than the other women.
Kody Brown Happily Took From Meri, But Wouldn’t Share With Her
In a confessional, Kody Brown discussed how challenging it was to have 18 children. Christine and Janelle both have six, Robyn has five, and Meri has one, Leon.
As a result, Kody admitted he didn’t think Meri deserved as much resources or property as the other women — even though she helped pay for the other wives’ families.
“His whole big thing then was I would get two acres,” Meri revealed while speaking to her friend Jenn about Coyote Pass. “He’s like, ‘Well, you don’t need as much because you don’t have as many kids.’”
Jenn felt exasperated by the entire situation and helped Meri realize how much she contributed to the family over the years without receiving anything in return. She helped pay for other children’s cars and college funds. However, no one else helped pay for Leon. Meri supported Leon’s endeavors on her own.
“I really don’t know how much of the family funds actually paid for other kids’ school or cars, but I know that my kid’s school was not taken care of from the family fund,” Meri revealed during her own confessional. “Kody has actually said this. Because I only have one child, I am not entitled to an equal portion of the property.”
When confronted with this information, Kody shrugged it off. He insisted it was all “water under the bridge.”
Meri Vows To Reveal Her Ex-Husband’s True Colors
Although Kody might have the legal upper hand, Meri refuses to take his disrespect any longer. After Sunday night’s episode, Meri posted on social media that she and Jenn would be spilling the tea sometime tonight.
“Let’s get salty!🧂@justjennreally,” the TLC star shared on Instagram.
“Ditch those b*tches?? I think we can talk about that… It’s about to get SALTY!! Monday night, it’s on!” Meri wrote on the photo.
