Ingo Rademacher’s shocking reaction as the judge denies his request to take ABC to court.
Back in November 2021, Ingo Rademacher last aired as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital, exiting the soap because he refused to comply with the ABC network mandate requiring the casts and crews of its productions to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. He subsequently filed a lawsuit against ABC in December, but in June 2023, a judge sided with the network.
In November 2024, Rademacher attempted to reopen his lawsuit, citing the fact that former co-star Steve Burton (Jason) — who had also been let go for refusing to comply with the mandate — had been rehired by the soap as new evidence that he was discriminated against by ABC.
However, In Touch Weekly is reporting that a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge has denied Rademacher’s motion asking the case to go to trial.
Rademacher first joined the cast of GH as Jax in January 1996. After exiting in 2000 he returned in 2001 and remained until 2011. Brief guest stints followed for years until he returned in 2019 for another run that came to an end when he was let go for refusing to comply with the vaccine mandate.
In the suit, Rademacher claimed religious discrimination because his request for a religious exemption to the COVID-19 vaccine was denied.
He also alleged that the producers of GH had issues with his political views which also factored into him being dismissed from the soap.
After Burton returned to his role of Jason Morgan on GH, Rademacher refiled, hoping this new evidence would work in his favor.
However, the judge disagreed and denied the motion to bring the case to trial, saying he would have to file a new lawsuit if he wanted to pursue this particular argument.
