Bombshell News!! Robyn Brown admits shocking reason for not wanting to be legally bound to Kody – Here’s why.
Sister Wives star, Robyn Brown lets fans know she never wanted to be in a legal marriage with Kody Brown. While she dreamed of the spiritual marriage with Kody, Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown, Robyn shared she wasn’t wanting to be tied down by the legal paperwork of an official marriage like Meri Brown.
Meri Reflects On Legally Divorcing Kody
The latest episode of Sister Wives discusses how Meri Brown sees the legal divorce from Kody Brown. Seemingly, Kody still can’t understand why it was such a big deal to Meri. Seemingly, Meri was willing to make a last-ditch effort to save her marriage with Kody by allowing Robyn to have the official marriage. However, internally, Meri was battling demons over Robyn dethroning her as the “legal wife.” But she agreed to take the steps after years of the family discussing how scary it would be to lose any of the kids if a wife passed suddenly. Since her sister, Teresa Barber Kunz, died and her sister wife stepped in to care for her kids, this was a very real scenario for Meri.
In many ways, that made her an easy target for selling the idea. Admittedly, Janelle Brown was in shock that Meri would go through with it. However, Christine Brown Woolley saw the manipulative spiderweb that Robyn Brown weaved for years. She discusses that early on Robyn was “planting” the idea of divorce to allow the legal adoption of children into the family. However, Robyn defensively argues that the claims she “planted an idea in Meri’s head is an absolute lie.”
Robyn Brown Lies About Not Wanting Legal Marriage To Kody?
When Christine Brown Woolley accuses Robyn Brown of “planting” the idea in Meri’s head to spearhead the legal divorce process, Robyn is quick to deny it. She says, “I never said it. I don’t even know anyone who divorced their first wife so that the second wife could adopt kids. I’ve never even heard of that before.” Furthermore, Robyn says it was Meri’s plan. She adds, “Meri told me when she made the offer that when we were getting to know each other, she had had the idea in her head to offer to give me the legal marriage so that Kody could adopt my kids.”
Additionally, innocently, Robyn proclaims, “I never even wanted to be legally married to Kody.” Further justifying her claim, “I was actually really grateful that I wasn’t going to be legally married to Kody because I’d gone through so much trauma with my legal divorce in my last marriage.” Instead, Robyn clarifies, “I was very happy and content with my spiritual marriage. I didn’t need anything else.”
Robyn Brown’s Prior Marriage Issues Follow Her
Before entering the Brown family, Robyn Brown had a messy divorce with her first husband, David Preston Jessop. While she had Dayton, Aurora, and Breanna, she also took the debt from the previous marriage into her spiritual marriage with Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Kody Brown. But David didn’t want to agree to release his kids for adoption. Instead, seemingly, they convinced him to strike a deal to give up his parental rights. But Meri facilitating the adoption left her feeling isolated and alone. Again, she became a perfect target for the catfishing incident that occurred approximately eight months after the legal divorce.
