Steve Burton Quitting General Hospital Because Of Current Storyline?

That’s because there’s strong speculation on social media suggesting Steve Burton is looking to throw in the towel even though he’s only been back on the canvas for a short time now.

General Hospital Spoilers: Chances, Confrontations, Caught In A Trap!

Apparently, it all has to do with his current storyline and the direction that the writers have taken his character in.

Simply put, many people believe that Steve is not happy with this “watered down version” of Jason Morgan and that he wants his Stone Cold alter ego to come back. The only problem is, the writers are not on board with that idea.

And even though Jason Morgan is spending more time with Danny and trying to protect Sasha from the evils of the world, it seems like Steve just doesn’t feel like his character is going in the direction that he would like to see it go in.

After all, Steve feels emotionally invested in Jason Morgan. Even though he’s played the character on-again, off-again over the years, it’s what has helped make him the household name he is today in the daytime television world.

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Steve Burton In Port Charles?

Now, whether or not Steve does leave remains to be seen. It’s not like he would be out of work in the soap world. Soon after he was fired from General Hospital back in 2021 for not complying with the network’s vaccine mandate, he was quickly hired by Days of Our Lives.

There’s a good chance that someone might pick up the actor again rather soon.

So far Steve Burton himself has not made any comments about the matter just yet.

Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
