Congrats!!đâ€đ„°Demi Moore and John Stamos make General Hospital reunion as fans beg for return to Port Charles
While Demi Moore and John Stamos have long since moved on from General Hospital, they still managed to give fans a soap opera moment to remember.
While appearing at the AARP’s Movies for Grownups Awards, the pair took a photo together with the General Hospital official Instagram account posting it to their account, captioning it: “Jackie Templeton and Blackie Parrish – together again!”
Plus, John presented Demi with the Best Actress award for her stellar performance in The Substance. On the red carpet, John and Demi leaned in close as they flashed the camera some smiles. He wore a simple suit over a light blue button-down, ditching a tie. The actress downed a black gown with dashes of silver sequins.
Demi and John both solidified their acting careers during their time in Port Charles. For Demi, she snagged a minor role before General Hospital, but truly came into the limelight when she played Jackie Templeton. John’s first-ever television role was on the soap opera as he appeared on television screens as Albert “Blackie” Parrish. The pair both started on the show in January 1982 and ran until April 1984. While John’s character was recast, it took 36 years to see the return of Demi’s.
General Hospital fans were thrilled to see them together again
Fans were giddy to see the pair reunited. In fact, they begged for the actors to make a cameo in the ever-running soap opera. “Wouldnât that be amazing if they came back for a short appearance!!” one wrote. Another fan added: “Well Have mercy uncle Jesse I hope he and Demi can make a comeback in the future for GH.”
Other fans became very sentimental for the old days of the show. “I remember thoes days and years that’s when gh ran with the show and we as fans since our mom’s watched gh those were the great days,” said one fan. Another noted: “I remember watching them on General Hospital back in the early 80s.”
Demi has spoke fondly of her work on The Substance. She told GoldDerby: âHow interesting it is that as human beings, our natural instinct, when we look in the mirror is to not find whatâs right, but to find whatâs wrong, and that can then lead us down those dark rabbit holes. And so, some of that was being present to where those moments took me and allowing myself to really open into those deepest, most vulnerable places of fear and insecurity and self-doubt.”
