Felicia’s big plan, Dex fakes his death to expose Cyrus General Hospital Spoilers
Something Is Very Wrong at General Hospital
After confronting Cyrus in Rice Plaza about being in Lulu’s room at the hospital on Halloween, the next day in the very same place, Dex was stabbed. Not to worry! He turned out to be OK, and reassured Joss that he was fine. He even suggested they go on a vacation to a beach somewhere over her winter break. It was at that point that some viewers began to speculate that Dex was done for, and they were right!
Of course, we didn’t see Cyrus take Dex out at the hospital, and we didn’t see him stab Dex in the park. However, the man who stabbed Dex had the same overcoat as Cyrus was wearing that day, and his incessant bell ringing for charity in the plaza stopped when Dex was stabbed. That seems to be the bit of information in the back of Felicia’s head that she can’t recall. We also got confirmation that Cyrus injected Sam with the digitalis. So it seems pretty clear it’s Cyrus.
Dex, it would appear, had to go because he could place Cyrus in the vicinity of Lulu’s room when her ventilator got shut off. But why Sam? Why did she have to die? Viewers have also wondered if there are no cameras in the halls of General Hospital. Being a cop, wouldn’t Dex have a guard outside his door? Also, how is Cyrus getting his hands on a drug that should be behind lock and key in the hospital?

So much of this simply isn’t making sense right now. Though perhaps, given Cyrus has stopped shaving and has grown his hair out again, that must be responsible for turning him evil again.
Making Up For No Q Thanksgiving
Well, we didn’t get a very Quartermaine Thanksgiving with pizza and singing, but we got one hell of a pre-Christmas party! The weekly promo teased that the truth about Willow and Drew was going to come out, and the moment everyone was fixated on their phones watching the big game because the cable was out, it was so obvious that footage of Drew and Willow was going to get broadcast.
Not only was it broadcast to their TV, but the best part was it was all Tracy’s doing! Annoyed that everyone was watching the game, finally streaming to the TV from Michael’s phone, she tried to shut it off and instead put the homemade nanny-cam porn on the television. This right after insisting to Ned they find a way to get Drew out of the mansion that very day. Mission accomplished! And while everyone was was aghast seeing Willow riding Drew, Tracy was giggling and insisting they not shut it off. You’ve got to love Tracy!
Side note: Did anyone else wonder how the Quartermaines have all this money and such a small and dinky television set?
More: What movies to watch this Christmas!
The Quartermaines quickly read Drew for filth for bedding his nephew’s wife in his daughter’s room and under their roof. Of course, Drew tried to point out how hypocritical it was of them to cast stones, but that wasn’t the time to do that. Take your lumps like a big boy, Drew!
Willow quickly realized Michael knew about the video based on his reaction and found out he had taken it. When she tried to question him, Carly snapped at her not to try and turn the blame for her cheating around on Michael. Yeah, Willow, blaming others for your mistakes is Carly’s MO! Willow wasn’t casting blame. She only wanted to know why he sat on what he knew. That begs the question, given Michael was humiliated so publicly, will he sit on his affair instead of telling Willow as he told Sasha he planned to?
One reaction I really wanted to see was Nina letting Drew have it. Then again, their numerous romps have yet to be disclosed. Hey, you got to leave something for New Year’s! Nina went into mama bear mode to convince Willow they had to take the kids to her place because things were bound to get ugly, given Michael was a Corinthos and a Quartermaine.
Naturally, Carly put a damper on that plan, stopping Nina and Willow and asking, “You wouldn’t be trying to take Michael’s children away from him, would you?” No, Carly, that’s another one of your moves! I am looking forward to the war of words between Carly and Willow on Monday. Especially given that Willow had become so enamored with Carly, the mother she had always wanted.
It’s Been Four Years
Many readers have been commenting in the recaps that Lulu’s coming in a little too hot, especially in berating Nina about Valentin and Charlotte and smashing Brennan’s phone when he offered to help her get in touch with Valentin. And as Nina told Maxie, she of all people knows what Lulu is going through right now.
More: Roger Howarth and Michael Easton reunite!
What was too much for me was when Lulu screamed, “I haven’t seen my daughter in four years!” Uh, that goes for everyone, and really, does she feel as if four years have gone by? You’ve been in a coma, Lulu!
That said, I did enjoy her reunion with Maxie, and Maxie asking her while on the verge of tears, “Were you ever going to call me?” Maxie telling Lulu that what happened with Peter was a story for another time not only gave me a chuckle, but I was glad we were spared that recap! We are still waiting on Lulu and Tracy’s reunion, and Tracy’s been waiting on it, too, ranting that Laura’s been stingy with her daughter’s time.
As I noted last week, we may get Charlotte’s return but not Valentin’s. Even Brennan noted once they had Charlotte back, that Valentin would disappear into the wind never to be found.
More: What is and what’s not working with Lulu’s return
While Brennan is focused on tracking Charlotte through her phone and social media, Anna & Co. are looking for Valentin using his bank records provided by Martin. The lawyer was on point when he asked Anna why should he help her when she had him kidnapped, she’s working with an assassin, and she had gone so far over the line — even threatening to have Jason beat him into cooperating. What’s wrong, Martin, not a fan of police brutality?
Anna’s morals, ethics and integrity are thrown out the window when Valentin and Charlotte are involved. As big a “Vanna” fan as I was, the couple has been destroyed, and Anna needs to cut all ties with Valentin and his daughter. They are her kryptonite at this point.
Final Stray Storyline Thoughts
I could have gotten behind Curtis taking Aurora from Drew, and am still OK with it happening. However, it won’t come close to the satisfaction of watching Drew’s disgrace at the Quaretermaine party.
I loved Nina slamming Drew for asking her to backstab her friend Curtis for him, even trying to use her daughter’s happiness as a reason for her to get on board. Then she accused him of using Scout’s grief to spend time with Willow. At this point, what future does Drew have in Port Charles? DC is calling his name…
Alexis, Molly and Kristina’s drama? Not here for any of it!
After Chase was stunned that Willow could keep such a secret from Michael, Brook Lynn noted everyone has secrets and began to squirm. I’m starting to believe the fan theory that Brook Lynn might be Gio’s bio-mom!
And just like that, we found out why he haven’t seen Phyllis in forever. She’s moved back to Nixon Falls. That’s a shame. She was a good character, and boy, could Nina use some advice right now from someone who is not Ava!
It was nice that Kai stepped up and finished his part of his and Trina’s art history project, but now she’s miffed that his work is better than hers. These two still aren’t working for me. And the whole big game nonsense bored me to death. Like Trina, I’m not a football fan.
Once again, Natalia bemoaned to Sonny about her estrangement from her children, telling him more about her son, who is still in Puerto Rico. Sonny’s totally getting that kid a ticket to Port Charles soon.
Finally, Ava learning the Cassadines had taken back her divorce settlement from Nikolas was not a Friday cliffhanger I was prepared for this week. Which Cassadine has done this? Surely not Nikolas. Valentin? But how? Perhaps this will finally tie into what has become of Wyndemere. There was supposed to be a buyer for it, and then that storyline went dead… as dead as poor Austin.
That’s it for my opinions on this week’s episodes of General Hospital! As always, leave your comments below and join the discussion. Why do you think Cyrus is killing all these people?
