Former GH star Vinessa Antoine breaks down in tears, asking for help to find her brother.
Typically, General Hospital alum Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) updates her social media followers about her new and exciting professional projects
But on Jan. 16, the actress turned to the Instagram community for a deeply personal reason: to help find her brother, Micheal Antoine, who has been missing since December.
As Antoine explained in her heartbreaking message, it’s been “over a month” since she’d heard from Micheal, and the police department in her native Toronto,
Canada, have not been able to find him. “I usually don’t post on social media unless it’s about a TV or film project, but at this point, I have no choice,” the desperate actress confessed. “If anyone knew my brother or knows where he might be, please DM me. Any information is helpful.
He was last seen in the Hamilton area with a woman named Elizabeth Spencer. He usually goes on Facebook every day but has not been on his socials for over a month.”
In a follow-up post, the former GH star noted that Spencer’s family has also been searching for her, and she believes that drugs are likely involved in the pair’s disappearance.
Antoine shared the Facebook profile of a man named Christopher Williams, whom she said sold drugs to her brother in the past. “He is on Facebook, and I’ve called him, but he is nowhere to be found,” she claimed.
Antoine also noted that Mike and Liz “have been struggling for years with addiction” — which has their families troubled. “Mike has been to some of the best rehab facilities in the world,” she wrote, adding that even when he’s using, her brother never goes radio silent.
“Both Liz and Mike stopped communication with their kids and with their extended family on the exact same date!”
If anyone has information regarding Mike, Antoine urges them to contact Jon Demme, the Toronto police detective investigating her brother’s disappearance, at (416) 808-1404 or by email: [email protected].
The actress also shared that tips about Elizabeth Spencer can be sent to her sister, Mandi Spencer, via direct message on Instagram @mandilynnthirtyone.
Our thoughts are with both families, and we hope that Mike and Liz are found safe soon.
