General Hospital Recaps: Valentin Came Very Close to Killing Carly!
Brennan realized the champagne had been tampered with but too late to stop Carly from being poisoned. He rushed her to the hospital and contacted the WSB for help identifying the poison, which turned out to be polonium.
Valentin broke into his old house to retrieve a hidden cache of documents and passports only to be interrupted by Sonny with a gun. Valentin tried to bargain by revealing that the bomb that blew up his place was stolen from the WSB and used by a hired hitman so Sonny let him go. Anna called Robin about the polonium antidote, but the WSB came through with it first and Carly’s life was saved. Felicia and Lucas both urged Carly to end things with Jack before it was too late but she wouldn’t listen. Laura urged Valentin to turn himself in but he insisted that was a death sentence.
Learning Valentin had put Carly in the hospital while targeting Brennan, Sonny told Jason to help Jack finish the job. Having been tipped off earlier by Sonny, Jack intercepted Valentin at the docks and threatened to kill him.
Jason tried to stop Anna from interfering but she was determined to keep Valentin from being murdered so she could arrest him.
At the station, she warned him he had to pay for his crimes. Jason visited Valentin and offered a favor in exchange for dirt on Brennan. The Cassadine agreed and warned Jason that Brennan might actually be the head of the WSB and would do whatever he could to keep Carly. So Jason went to the hospital and told Carly she had to stop seeing Jack because her life depended on it!
