General Hospital Writers Made This Huge Mistake With Carly’s Daughter

Is this another detail of the show that they simply forgot to mention again? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder when it comes to Carly and Sonny’s daughter, Donna.

General Hospital Writers Made This Huge Mistake With Carly’s Daughter

As many General Hospital fans can recall, Donna was both with spina bfida several years ago. However, her condition has never been mentioned again, prompting a lot of people to wonder if the writers just forgot about it or if she was miraculously cured.

Either way, fans want answers as they think it’s a huge mistake to brush off a medical-based storyline like this as so much more could have been said about Donna’s condition.

As you can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter and what might have happened to the storyline.

Some even commented with, “I remember when Carly was pregnant with Donna, the doctors said the baby would have complications due to Carly’s older age and I remember them saying the baby had spina bifida but Donna doesn’t appear to have any disabilities. Is this something that was explained or did they just drop it? ]”

Another fan wrote, “She had surgery immediately after she was born. Maybe when she gets older it’ll be addressed again. But it’s not likely.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Donna?

“I just wonder what was the whole point of this story line. To me, it used a known and frightening issue, but then made it into a non event. Not sure why it was ever a story.”

Another critic wrote, “She had an insta-cure, after she was born. It would have been more interesting had she not been cured, but she and the family were dealing with the daily trials of spina bifida.

However, because she’s Sonny & Carly’s child, that was never going to happen.”

It goes without saying that General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
