Typically, General Hospital star Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) rarely uses her Twitter/X account and keeps her private life private, for the most part, on the social media platform. However, the actress was in a sharing mood on March 1 and went on a posting spree that included a rare update on her family!
Longtime viewers know that Herbst has been married to her former GH co-star Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan) since 2001, and they share three children: Ethan, 23, Ella, almost 21, and Emerson, 14.
The actress was in Boston at the beginning of the month for a fan appearance with Cynthia Watros (Nina) and Maura West (Ava), and must have been missing her family like crazy while unable to sleep one night!
“While I’m having insomnia in Boston, I thought I’d share some pics of things that have been given to me over the past few-plus months. I’ve loved them all!” she wrote, first sharing multiple bouquets of flowers, a mini Christmas tree complete with ornaments, and other gifts sent to her by the Liz and Jason (aka Liason) fans, Liz and Ric (or Liric) fans, and the Lucky and Liz (LnL2) supporters. “These guys spoil me!”
But it was two sweet family photos that Herbst posted which were a real treat for her followers, since it’s been what seems like forever since she’s shared any kind of update on her children. “And since I’m in a sharing mood… the loves of my life,” Herbst wrote. “Yes, I am the shortest one in my house.”
In the first picture the actress shared, she is posed with Emerson, Ella, and Ethan, with her older (and very tall!) son’s hand wrapped around her back. The other photo Herbst posted is a selfie of her and her husband, sweetly leaning their heads on one another.
Both pictures seem to be from the same day, as Herbst has her hair tied back with a bandanna headband and is wearing the same “Liason” hoodie in both images.
“There might be an ‘I Spy’ somewhere in there for a certain group,” the actress teased, referring to her sweatshirt.
While we certainly love seeing photos of our favorite soap stars interacting with their young children, we also very much loved seeing Herbst and her grown-up kiddos!
