Heartbreaking Update!😭😭Christine & Kody Shocked by Court Order (in Custody Battle)

As many Sister Wives fans know, Christine and Kody Brown have been embroiled in a legal battle.

Christine is suing for child support, but the situation is a little complex since Kody’s name wasn’t on Truely’s birth certificate. Now, it seems the exes will be spending more time together — even if they would rather not.

See what the court now requires of Christine and Kody as they move forward.

Sister Wives Stars Kody & Christine Must Take Classes Together

In Touch Weekly reports that “courts handling Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Christine Brown’s custody case made a surprising call and are officially calling the case a divorce despite the two having never been married.”

The publication also reports the courts mandate the exes to attend “parenting and divorce classes, as well as mediation.” If necessary, their minor daughter Truely Brown may get a guardian ad litem and possibly even a custody evaluation.

Sister Wives is notoriously behind current events, but it doesn’t seem like Kody’s relationship with Truely has improved since the split. Onscreen, the teenager seems to have formed a close bond with her new stepdad, David Woolley.

“Basically, he’s not in Truely’s life,” an insider reportedly told In Touch Weekly shortly after Christine and Kody’s initial split. “Kody won’t go anywhere.

Christine has to accommodate Kody. He’s still paranoid about COVID and everything else. So, if Christine is not choosing to do the transporting and making it happen — nor would she put Truely through any of this stress — then Kody won’t have a relationship with Truely. He would have to leave his nest to see his daughter.”

However, that excuse doesn’t exactly make sense. Sister Wives viewers recall the episode where Kody officiated a wedding and danced in a room full of maskless people. Around that same time, he also refused to attend his daughter Ysabel’s surgery, citing the pandemic.

The Exes Don’t Currently Have Much Of A Relationship

Kody and Christine Brown haven’t been on great terms since they first announced their split. She didn’t invite him to her wedding in October 2023 and he seems disinterested in maintaining a relationship with her.

At this point, many viewers believe TLC should outright cancel the show, but that isn’t likely to happen as long as Sister Wives continues generating money and viewership.

What do you think about the court mandating Kody and Christine to take divorce classes and mediation? Do you think TLC will use this as a storyline on Sister Wives? Share your own thoughts and ideas in the comments below.
