Heartbreaking Update!đđChristine & Kody Shocked by Court Order (in Custody Battle)
As many Sister Wives fans know, Christine and Kody Brown have been embroiled in a legal battle.
Christine is suing for child support, but the situation is a little complex since Kodyâs name wasnât on Truelyâs birth certificate. Now, it seems the exes will be spending more time together â even if they would rather not.
See what the court now requires of Christine and Kody as they move forward.
Sister Wives Stars Kody & Christine Must Take Classes Together
In Touch Weekly reports that âcourts handling Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Christine Brownâs custody case made a surprising call and are officially calling the case a divorce despite the two having never been married.â
The publication also reports the courts mandate the exes to attend âparenting and divorce classes, as well as mediation.â If necessary, their minor daughter Truely Brown may get a guardian ad litem and possibly even a custody evaluation.
Sister Wives is notoriously behind current events, but it doesnât seem like Kodyâs relationship with Truely has improved since the split. Onscreen, the teenager seems to have formed a close bond with her new stepdad, David Woolley.
âBasically, heâs not in Truelyâs life,â an insider reportedly told In Touch Weekly shortly after Christine and Kodyâs initial split. âKody wonât go anywhere.
Christine has to accommodate Kody. Heâs still paranoid about COVID and everything else. So, if Christine is not choosing to do the transporting and making it happen â nor would she put Truely through any of this stress â then Kody wonât have a relationship with Truely. He would have to leave his nest to see his daughter.â
However, that excuse doesnât exactly make sense. Sister Wives viewers recall the episode where Kody officiated a wedding and danced in a room full of maskless people. Around that same time, he also refused to attend his daughter Ysabelâs surgery, citing the pandemic.
The Exes Donât Currently Have Much Of A Relationship
Kody and Christine Brown havenât been on great terms since they first announced their split. She didnât invite him to her wedding in October 2023 and he seems disinterested in maintaining a relationship with her.
At this point, many viewers believe TLC should outright cancel the show, but that isnât likely to happen as long as Sister Wives continues generating money and viewership.
