Josslyn’s world was turned upside down when Dex died suddenly on General Hospital,.
But now that the shock has worn off and it’s clear foul play was involved, the grief is turning to anger as she becomes determined to find out who killed her beau.
“She’s really, really angry, and she’s very hungry for answers,” Eden McCoy (Josslyn) told Soap Opera Digest, “and this is not going to be something that she lets go of until she feels like justice has been served.
And I admire that about Joslyn. She’s determined to get answers and I think that’s all anyone is kind of search for when someone close to them died.”
It also helps that Josslyn has a solid ally in Jason, who listened to her and offered whatever support and assistance she might need. “He kind of gets her, and he sees what’s going on and he doesn’t tell her something just to tell her something, you know?” McCoy mused. “
He gives her the space that she needs and the air that she needs and he understands that she’s gonna go what she’s gonna do. He’s not necessarily trying to change her mind or change her perspective.
“He treats her feelings with a lot of respect,” the actress continued, “and I feel like that’s super special because it could so easily go to, ‘Hush, hush, I’m here for you, this is so hard.’
And all of those thing are true, but he kind of lets her feel what she needs to feel and doesn’t try to stop the pain. He wants to let her process what she’s feeling in whatever way is best for her.”
Josslyn also asked Brennan for help from the WSB, and while he claimed he couldn’t, he did locate satellite footage proving it was Cyrus who stabbed Dex in the park that day.
Then, while cleaning out Dex’s apartment, she came across a gun that could make this whole situation a lot more dangerous.
Knowing the storyline coming up for her character in the wake of Dex’s demise, McCoy teased that what GH has planned for Joss “is going to be really tough and challenging, but also super-cool and important and a story I will love doing.”
